yes John has some of the powers the ancients had, only he lacks training. (He has by far the strongest ATA gene among all the others who have it, so I wondered what else might be there.) John will need serious training to unlock these abilities, and people who could train him are few and far between. I'm glad you enjoyed the chapter.
